texting blog revised

I agree and disagree with what the speaker had to say about texting. Texting is changing the way everyone communicates and not always in the best way. Some people will text someone that is sitting right next to them, which is quite ridiculous. On the other hand texting makes things easier and I agree it is like a new language because old people don't understand the abbreviations and emojis. I think there is a very strong argument on both sides, because of how useful it can be. Like would you rather call every person you want to come to your party, or would you rather just send a group text? Its kinda like one generation against the other in the debate. The older people think texting and anything involving technology is a bad thing for lots of reasons. Which is some situations they can be right, like driving is definitely more dangerous now. While the younger generation grew up in it and really that's all they know, I think it makes a big difference to have grown up knowing how to use it. Young people have had access to technology their whole life, it makes us as a society lazy in some ways. For instance instead of going to see our friends and family we just call them, or some don't even do that anymore we will just send a text. It is changing everything because if you think about it these social media apps and stuff are actually making the world less social. So I do see why in many ways older generation is right that it is making the world worse. On the other hand I do see the benefits of it and technology isn't gonna stop its gonna keep growing, I think it is important for everyone as a society to grow with technology.
